Behavorial Health Treatment

MSPCC is one of the largest outpatient Medicaid mental health treatment providers in Massachusetts, providing mental health treatment to nearly 16,000 children and adults every year.  Mental health disorders in children and adolescents can interfere with the way they think, feel, and act.  If left untreated, these disorders can lead to school failure, family conflicts, drug abuse, violence, and even suicide.

MSPCC offers a wide range of mental health treatment services.  Both in the home and in community-based centers, MSPCC addresses the needs and concerns of multicultural and linguistic minority families with a culturally-diverse staff, bilingual services, cultural understanding, and more.

Family Counseling Centers
MSPCC's Family Counseling Centers are licensed outpatient clinics, which provide mental health services in families' homes, schools, and other community settings.  MSPCC has demonstrated expertise in child psychiatry, medication evaluations, and working with children and families who have suffered trauma.

Community Service Agencies (CSA)
Community Service Agencies in the Lowell and Boston (Dimock) areas offer Intensive Care Coordination and Family Partners to guide and organize the care and services for children with Serious Emotional Disturbance (SED) and their families.  CSAs involve families every step of the way in identifying supports and services and in implementing Individual Care Plans to meet the needs of the child and family while honoring their preferences and culture.  For more information on the MSPCC CSAs in Lowell, call (978) 937-8695 or click here.  Information on the MSPCC CSAs in the Dimock area can be obtained by calling (617) 978-5842 or by clicking here.  For information on the Children's Behavioral Health Initiative, click here.
