The Boston Marathon has become an even more prestigious and exclusive event in recent years, and we at the Massachusetts Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children (MSPCC) are determined to re-establish ourselves again as a Boston Marathon charity. We believe that the best way to do so is to build a team of qualified runners for a “pilot” year in order to demonstrate that we have what it takes to support a group of runners in the dual quest of fundraising and marathon training.
How to Get Involved:
Come Run with Us!
MSPCC is seeking runners who have secured their bib for the 2017 Boston Marathon, and who are also looking for a way to make the most of their experience by fundraising to help vulnerable children and families in Massachusetts.
All runners will receive fundraising support from MSPCC including a personal fundraising page, invitation to a team kick-off event, online group support, training support and tips, and an MSPCC shirt for race-day. There will be additional incentives and prizes for those who hit fundraising milestones.
We have established three tiers of suggested fundraising for our runners to each select as a personal goal:
Heartbreak Hill Fundraiser $500
Citgo Sign Fundraiser $1,000
Finish Line Fundraiser $2,620 (get it??)
