Adoption Services

MSPCC has been leading the way in protecting children and strengthening families since 1878. Our experience in adoption spans over 70 years when we opened our first adoption program in the 1930's. Since that time, MSPCC has continued its commitment to adoption by expanding the services offered to meet the unique needs of all members of the adoption consetallation: birth families and kin, foster and adoptive families, and adoptees through our various adoption and foster care support services.

MSPCC's Adoption Services include:

Adoption Through Foster Care
Through our adoption management contract with the Department of Children and Families (DCF), MSPCC offers MAPP (Massachusetts Approach to Partnerships in Parenting) training; a ten-week course designed to train prospective families in regards to the needs of children who are available for adoption through the DCF foster care system. This service is provided free of charge and is offered on an ongoing basis. To find out more, contact Sybil Turk at sturk@mspcc.org or (617) 587-1519.
