Adoption Services

MSPCC's experience in adoption spans over 70 years when it opened its first adoption program in the 1930's. Since that time, MSPCC has continued its commitment to adoption by expanding the services offered to meet the unique needs of all members of the adoption consetallation: birth families and kin, foster and adoptive families, and adoptees through our various adoption programs.
MSPCC's adoption services include:
Act of Love Adoptions
A full-service domestic infant adoption program with the primary purpose of delivering comprehensive services to birth parents, prospective adoptive parents, and first and foremost, the child or adoptee.

Adoptive Families Together (AFT)
A statewide network that provides education, advocacy, training, and post-adoption support to all members of adoptive families. AFT provides free parent groups that offer support, resources, and discussions regarding adoption-related topics.

MAPP Training
Through our adoption management contract with the Department of Children and Families (DCF), MSPCC offers MAPP (Massachusetts Approach to Partnerships in Parenting) training; an eight-week course designed to train prospective families in regards to the needs of children who are available for adoption through the DCF foster care system. This service is provided free of charge and is offered on an ongoing basis.
