Support Cecilia and MSPCC / Eliot!
Dear friends and family,
On Saturday October 27th, I am going to lace up my sneakers and run the Ashland 5-miler on behalf of Eliot Community Human Services and MSPCC to benefit our Children, Youth, and Families division.
As you may know, I have been working for the MSPCC in various programs for 2 years now doing trauma work with kiddos and their families in the Worcester area. You may also know just how passionate I am about trauma work, the kids we serve, and making a difference in my community. SO PASSIONATE, that I have signed up to run this 5-miler (thankfully I have refrained from signing up for the half marathon impulsively) to raise money for our division.
My goal is to raise at least $250. Your donation will help ensure that children, youth, and their families receive the support and services they need to stay safe and to thrive. While my program is funded through a federal grant, programs that serve our kids and our communities are criminally underfunded. Which is why I am choosing to run! I had been looking for a race to participate in but can’t kid myself into believing I can run a half with a month and a half to train. I am so excited to train for this and run for a cause and organization I believe in!
In advance, thank you so much for your generosity and support.
Cecilia
