Volunteer Activities

The services we will be offering this year have been adjusted to ensure that we are able to support local foster families while keeping everyone safe and healthy. We are currently offering three different ways to show your support to a foster family: Virtual Enrichment Activities, Meal Prep and Delivery, and Care Boxes.

Virtual Enrichment Activities

Virtual Enrichment Activities are a great way to connect with a child or family by meeting virtually on a weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly basis. Some examples of activities are:

  • Cooking/Baking lessons
  • Help with homework
  • Yoga
  • Arts and crafts
  • Playing games

Meal Prep and Delivery

Meal time can be a difficult task for a busy parent. You can support a foster family by delivering meals, whether it be a nice family dinner or prepped meals for the week. Meals can be either homemade or from a restaurant and foster parents will provide meal preferences and dietary restrictions.

Care Boxes

Care Boxes contain essential items for children in foster homes.  Depending upon the age of the child, a care box could contain coloring books and crayons, a journal, toys, games, puzzles, books, health/beauty products, stuffed animals, Legos, dolls, cars, stickers – the possibilities are endless!  Including a note to encourage families and let them know that you are thinking of them is also welcomed and appreciated.
