Act Early Learning Series: Workshop 1/6

As the experts on their children, families often become the most effective advocates for their children. This series of workshops will provide you with strategies and tools needed to collaboratively engage families in the developmental screening and referral processes in service of supporting families to act early.  Facilitated by Dr. Jayne Singer of  the Brazelton Touchpoints Center.

 

Act Early Learning Objectives 

  • Learn and practice culturally responsive strategies for building partnerships with families
  • Practice perspective taking techniques that honor families’ cultures, experiences and knowledge of their  child 
  • Practice techniques for engaging with families in child development screening, referrals, and collaborative service planning 
  • Practice with a specific tool to structure strengths-based conversations about concerns raised by developmental screening
