MSPCC is excited to usher in a new era of Board leadership as we welcome a new Board of Advisors Chair and Vice Chair.
Reetika Vijay, AIA, LEED AP, who has served on MSPCC’s Board since 2018, has assumed the role of Board Chair. She was officially introduced in her new role at MSPCC’s April 3rd Turning Points fundraiser.
Reetika is the Managing Principal for IA Interior Architects’ Boston office and an Executive Committee member to IA’s global footprint. She was named Boston Real Estate Time’s 2019 Top 10 Most Influential Women and India New England’s Outstanding Women of 2020. She has been instrumental in developing IA’s philanthropic mission and is the founder and executive sponsor of IAReach, a firmwide program that supports local and global charitable initiatives throughout IA’s global footprint.
Reetika commented, “I cannot express how honored I am to assume the role of Advisory Board Chair for MSPCC. The physical and emotional welfare of children is such a passion of mine. They need consistency, care, and support to feel safe. As the Managing Principal of IA’s Boston studio, our mission is to create environments that allow people to thrive. This dovetails perfectly with my role on the advisory board: helping to ensure children have environments where they flourish.”
Kristin Francisco has assumed the role of Board Vice Chair. Kristin serves as US Chief Operating Officer of Assurance at PwC. She has 30 years of experience providing audit and accounting services to a wide array of clients and previously served as the Trust Solutions Financial Services Managing Partner, responsible for directing strategy, delivery and operations for the firm’s Financial Services practice. She enjoys sponsoring prospective partners and has led professional development initiatives at PwC, including Asset Management Learning and Education Programs and the Northeast Women’s Partner Group.
Kristin reflected, “MSPCC’s mission—to protect and promote the rights and well-being of children and families—is one I care about deeply. From mental health counseling to support for adoptive and foster parents, MSPCC is making a meaningful difference for families across the state of Massachusetts, and I am proud to help this organization continue doing great work.”
As we welcome our new Board leaders, we would also like to acknowledge the contributions of outgoing Board of Advisors Chair Charles Senatore. Charles, who has served on the Board since 2013 and became Chair in 2017, has been a tireless champion and supporter of MSPCC’s work. With his family by his side, he was honored at Turning Points with the MSPCC Voice of the Child award for his contributions to the organization and for all he has done to support children and families across the Commonwealth. He will continue to play an active role as a member of MSPCC’s Board.
