MSPCC is proud to continue the offering of a 10-month web-based, Reflective Consultation series with a MassAIMH Endorsed® professional. This offering is in service of building equitable access for Reflective Supervision/Consultation for the infant and early childhood workforce who work directly with or on behalf of families and their young children.
Reflective Supervision/ Consultation is a form of ongoing professional development that supports professionals in their ability to understand, make meaning of and manage the intense situations and emotions experienced in their work. It provides a relational space to offer nurturing to those who nurture others. It is considered best practice in the infant and early childhood field for direct workforce, supervisors and systems leaders and is proven to reduce burnout, vicarious trauma, increase job satisfaction, and help professionals to assess and improve their own practice.
Reflective Consultation Group Sessions: What to Know
- Sessions are at no cost to professionals and are funded by grants
- RC Group sessions are a 10 month commitment from September to June
- RC groups are multidisciplinary groups
- Sessions are virtual, meeting twice a month (20 total sessions)
- Sessions’ duration is 90 minutes (totaling 30 RC hours)
- RC hours support the requirement for MassAIMH Endorsement®
- Each group is facilitated by a MassAIMH Endorsed® professional
- RC groups are for frontline professionals, supervisors, program administrators, policy and systems leaders
- Group facilitators and the respective participants collectively decide meeting dates and times at the first group session
